THE UPDATE

Hello,

I am improving with leaps and bounds everyday. On Wednesday morning (after getting the biggest blood boogers pulled out of my nose) I managed to escape from the hospital. I took a trip through campus to the Davis Center to send a few emails and drink some orange juice. As I was walking through the Davis Center wearing a hospital gown it was a little drafty but I managed to conquer three flights of stairs. Some students going to classes were a little scared I think.

Once I got back to the hospital they realized that I was able to leave the hospital and was discharged. I am currently at my house in Burlington and really appreciate all visitors. I read all the posts. Thank you.

Rose,

I'm so glad to hear that you're out of the hospital and functioning on a more human level. Don't ever forget or belittle what you went through, because it has certainly made you a stronger person. You should be proud of how well you handled everything and you will certainly be one to fear on the course once you get back to racing.

Love, Rebecca

PS. Those blood boogers sound really gross.

Hey Rose!

So glad to hear that you are up and around!! I have been thinking of you. I am amazed at what you have accomplished, but go slow and easy (ya, right!!) and stay strong. You have so many people behind you, you are one lucky girl.

Rose,

Caitlin told me tonight about what happened :( In case you need some motivation for recovering (which you probably dont, but I'm offering it anyway) just think about Fitchburg next year.... If nobody's goos are flying out of their pockets on the descent, who am I going to give mine to?

Hope you have a speedy recovery!

I forgot to add that if you ever want a pink and ridiculous cheerleading outfit, I can make you one. Appropriately, Katie Dunn and I each have one, too

Rosie (The Sutton Flower) What is your current address? Glad to hear you are doing better. The most important thing you learn from this is how much you are loved and how you life touched so many. Love Liz and Carl.

Rose!! I'm glad to hear that you're up and moving around! I've been following your recovery status over the past couple weeks and thinkin' about you the whole time. I hope that you keep recovering at the same pace- everyone is right when they say that you're a strong one! I just wanted to know that you've got a friend here in Kentucky who's thinking about you. Get some rest, and watch out for any more blood boogers!
