Rose

Rose is totally smoking everyone in the race to recovery. Another visit to the Fletcher Allen Hospital for me (classes just ended). I went earlier and was happy to see her talking, looking around with the eye that is easier to open, and I even saw her sit in a chair next to her bed. She's been resting well. There have been fewer visitors (partially we've been pushing them out of the room to let her rest (God bless her fans, there are zillions) so she's been able to get some good shut-eye lately. See you soon, to the hospital it is! Away!

Also, Thanks to James Patterson for holding Rose's hand through this 24/7 since Monday night, the boy quit his job for the week and hasn't slept! Parents Rick and Anne as well as sisters Michelle, Pegeen, and Amie for their support as well. Mike Femia did a phenomenal job posting this site. Do it.

Hey Rose,

Chris called and told us about your accident. I have been thinking about you every day - several times a day. I know you have so many friends and family in Vermont there to help you through this, but I wanted you to know that here in New Jersey, we are sending you all good wishes for a speedy recovery.
Have courage, and know that we are thinking about you.

Rose,

Sorry to hear about the accident. I don't personally know you or anything, but having been hit by a car myself while crossing Main Street in front of L&L and breaking my ankle, I understand how much it sucks. Stay strong and get well soon!

Hey Rose,
Terry here-your next door neighbor in UHS3 last year... Wow... sorry about your mishap. I'm really relieved you will recover but I know you have some serious mending to do. Take care of yourself and let your body do its thing. We all love you-Gianna sends her hugs. Terry Delaney/Gianna Sassi

Rose,
I'm so sorry about your accident. It breaks my heart to hear of you lying injured after a careless driver hit you when I know that nothing else could knock you down off your bike. You are an amazing cyclist and an amazing person--strong, confident, and tough. I know that you will recover soon and be back to dominate ECCC. In the meantime, rest up, get better, and we are all thinking of you.
love,
Martha

geez....laying, not lying...I guess us MITers don't know how to spell. The only person who is lying is the person who hit you and is pleading innocent. On that note, I hope that he is brought to justice, even though that won't undo your injuries.

Rose, I am so deeply sorry to hear of this accident. As a fellow biker of Burlington, though not at all the wonderful extremist that you are, it is very disturbing. I wish you a speedy recover and the best of luck. I know you are an amazing and strong young woman and will recover with the high spirits and enthusiasm I know you so well for! May you return to the seat of your bike soon!! My thoughts are with you.
