10-5

Hello,
Today is Lance's day isn't it? the day his life got totally turned upside down. I think.

Anyway, I have to tell you what I do for entertainment while I'm on the mend. I walked out of my house the other day to see four cop cars and a bunch of cops surrounding the apartment building across the street. upon closer inspection it was determined there was a episode of cops happening right here in the north end. we did what any self respecting person would do and tailgated. We sat on the bumper eating oatmeal watching the action. The police searched the apartment and took out bags with white dust spillling from them. They weren't very careful and some of the dust got onto the pavement. Other people came out and started sucking it in their noses off the road.
Very funny,
Rose

Did you get the Get Well Card with the 100 signatures?

Pedal on,

Neighbors!! You never know what to expect next.

I know you are getting out and about town. Keep going... I know it is tough but you are strong. You inspire me and all of us.

My Yoga teacher says to find a place to focus on. Wherever you are and whatever you are going through. Maybe in that moment or that place try to find acceptance, patience, openess. Not sure where to go from there but personally I find that it is a good place to start the next part of the journey.
Keep being Rose.

Rose,
My name is Melissa Buhl, I am a gravity racer in Mountain Biking. I heard about what happened to you, and I just wanted to tell you that it is great how you are recovering and keeping positive. Keep your head up! One thing I have learned the past few years in Mountain biking watching friends go through serious life changing injuries, is that attitude and perspective will take you very far. I hope you are doing well! Keep working hard!

Hi Rose,

There are so many of us out here that are rooting for you. We have never met but I sympathize with you. Your words have so much spirit and hope, You will get better and then REALLY fast sooner than anyone expects (except you).

I grew up riding in NYC with unbelievable traffic and no room. I was very fortunate to never have been hit. In addition I rode tubulars there and didn't flat for a couple of years running. Ah the good old days. Now I have ridden and lived here for twenty plus years and I can't imagine riding in that much traffic again.

I marshalled at the Burlington Criterium. Did you race there? Which race, team or jersey and what type of bike do you race on?

See you on the road soon I hope,

Joel Melnick

Rose!
Melissa Buhl commented on this post! no way! I saw her at Mt. Snow this year and was pretty impressed.
I biked the KT two weekends ago, but I'm sure if you were still up there you'd have kicked my ass for sure. Keep us posted on interesting Burlington neighbor happenings and most of all keep your positive attitude going.
